Ezra Levant kicks off today's daily livestream with a look at Alberta's Lt.-Gov. weighing in on leadership candidate Danielle Smith's proposed sovereignty act. After that, David Menzies and Sheila Gunn Reid take over hosting duties, reacting to Prime Minister Trudeau's suggestion that 80-90% booster uptake is needed to avoid the return of restrictions this winter and one Saskatchewan stabbing suspect's criminal history.

  • SHEILA GUNN REID | Best of the 2022 Conservative Party leadership campaign

    September 5th, 2022  |  36 mins 59 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump

    GUEST HOST: Sheila Gunn Reid

The Conservative Party of Canada's leadership election campaign is nearly over and Rebel News has covered it from start to almost finish.

So we're looking back at some of our best coverage of the Conservative Party leadership campaign. Our journalists have covered the contest to replace outgoing leader, Erin O'Toole, from the very beginning and even before that. Our journalists were on the ground in Ottawa when Erin O’Toole put the final nail in his own coffin by refusing to support the convoy protesters in their peaceful demonstration for human rights and against COVID mandates in the nation's capital.

And since then we've had sit down interviews with candidates, covered campaign rallies, interviewed supporters, live streamed debates, and scrummed politicians afterwards asking questions that we know Canadian conservatives want answers to.

We didn't ask questions conservatives don't care about. We asked about lockdowns, gun rights, free speech, China, supply management, access to health care, and press freedom.

So today instead of our normal monologue and interview, we’ll refresh your memory on what the candidates said and did during the campaign.

Votes have to be in by September 6 and then the counting starts. If you don't have your mind made up, maybe this might help you.

  • DAVID MENZIES | Boosters at Western U; Unvaxxed tennis star skips US Open

    September 2nd, 2022  |  44 mins 1 sec
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump

Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies, and gentlemen — and the rest of you — in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favourite Rebels. I’m your host, David Menzies.

Just when you thought things were returning to normal vis-à-vis the COVID file, the University of Western Ontario suddenly demanded that all students returning to class later this month must be double-vaccinated plus a booster shot. Students and their allies staged a protest on campus last Saturday, and Lincoln Jay covered the demonstration. He’ll join me to offer his two cents’ worth.

And the U.S. Open is ongoing in New York City. But a notable player is missing due to not being vaccinated. That would be Novak Djokovic because he refuses to get jabbed with an experimental vaccine. And this, apparently, makes Djokovic world tennis champion non grata.

Our New York-based reporter Jeremy Loffredo will try to make sense of it all.

And letters; we get your letters; we get your letters every minute of every day. And I’ll share some of your letters about a Scotiabank client in Grand Prairie, Alberta, who was fired by the bank for the egregious act of… committing a thought crime? Oh, it’s true, it’s true…

Those are your Rebels, now let’s round ‘em up…

  • SHEILA GUNN REID | Media, politicians gaslight themselves over the peaceful protesters in Ottawa

    September 2nd, 2022  |  44 mins 34 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump

    GUEST HOST: Sheila Gunn Reid

You know I think the last time I guest hosted for Ezra, I talked a little bit about how cults of different sorts permeate during times of upheaval or awakening.

At the time I was talking about the bizarre 'free man on the land' cult of Queen Romana. She's a cult leader who traverses the country in a crowdfunded Winnebago who claims to be the new Queen of Canada after the American military allegedly assassinated the Queen of England.

A couple of weeks ago, she inspired her followers to try to perform citizen's arrests on police officers. Naturally she didn't participate. She kept the Winnebago running.

But it isn't just people in the fringes of the pro-freedom movement that are subject to cult indoctrination. The Trudeau Liberals are trying to do it too to you. But back in the day, your cult leader had to stand on the street corner and tell you about the end of the world, hand out pamphlets. It was a lot of hard work to get followers, devotees and the brainwashed back in the day. The Liberals now don't have to pamphlet, door knock, proselytize, or first-person evangelize.

They've got the mainstream media barfing their gas lighting cult doctrine into your house every single day and onto your phone.

    Let me show you.

GUEST: David Menzies joins Sheila to catch up on the latest in the Patrick Brown saga.

  • ANDREW CHAPADOS | The Gray New Deal | Bryson Gray & Lewis Brackpool

    September 1st, 2022  |  48 mins 20 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump

Fresh off another chart-topping hit, Bryson Gray returns to Andrew Says to talk about his viral songs that have garnered huge views on Twitter and the process of making music on short notice to capitalize on news stories.

“I've been writing songs since I was four-years-old... it only takes me a couple hours and sometimes I do them live on YouTube,” Gray explained.

Joined by Rebel News U.K.'s Lewis Brackpool, the pair discuss the cancellation of controversial personality Andrew Tate, with Gray saying: “He was cancelled different than anyone else before; no warnings, no violations.”

Brackpool explains the British pubs on the verge of closure due to soaring energy costs while the hip-hop artist Gray debates whether these issues will come to the United States.

Exclusively on RebelNews+ Brackpool reveals that he has participated in a “white collar boxing” match as the group discuss recent YouTuber boxing events. As well, President Biden's remarks on firearms are discussed.

  • DAVID MENZIES | The green police are coming for you!

    September 1st, 2022  |  48 mins 20 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump

    GUEST HOST: David Menzies

For all you climate offenders out there, the kid gloves are coming off now given that the ECCC is going to get its own law enforcement staff. So, if you’re looking for a rewarding career in policing… would you believe a sort-of career in quasi-policing, you know, like being a member of the CN Police? – well, you have until the end of the month to apply for such a job via the federal government job board. I wonder if the feds are going to get Hugo Boss to make the uniforms?

Oh, it’s not just a bunch of green cops the ECCC is assembling by the way, but a new whiz-bang facility is also going up in Winnipeg. It will have interrogation rooms, biological labs, controlled quiet rooms, intelligence facilities, media relations offices, and a firearms armoury. Obviously, the green cops are exempt from Trudeau’s gun grab. And it’s all in the name of so-called “climate enforcement”; your tax dollars hard at work yet again!

You know, when I first came across this story, I immediately checked the calendar… perhaps I had fallen into a coma some eight months ago and had awakened on April First. But no, this Climate Cop initiative is no April Fool’s Day joke.

    The government is denying it.

    But who do you believe?

GUEST: Former Ontario MPP Randy Hillier

  • DAILY | Poilievre's WEF ban; Trudeau condemns 'hate-filled rants'; B.C. club gives out hard drugs

    September 1st, 2022  |  1 hr 39 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump

David Menzies and Drea Humphrey host today's Rebel News DAILY livestream. Subjects on the board include Conservative leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre reiterating how if he were prime minister, he would ban his ministers from attending the World Economic Forum and Justin Trudeau condemning 'hate-filled rants' like the one an Albertan directed towards Chrystia Freeland. Lastly, a "compassion club" in B.C. is handing out hard drugs in an attempt to... save lives?

  • SHEILA GUNN REID | Why is the truth so hard to uncover at the Kamloops Residential School?

    August 31st, 2022  |  30 mins 45 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump

In spring of 2021, news broke that the bodies of hundreds of potential murder victims, mostly children, were uncovered in a mass grave at the Kamloops Residential School. It was horrible news. Children snatched away from their families, punished for their culture, and abused until their were dead at the hands of the Catholic Church. There were even bones, a tooth and a rib bone just lying there on the ground, evidence of a genocidal crime.

That's how the story was first reported, anyway. But then it quickly evolved. Perhaps it was a series of graves and not a pit. Maybe the tooth wasn't a tooth at all. Maybe the graves were previous ground disturbances. And then news of any subsequent investigation or excavation at the site just went dark.

Why did this alleged crime scene not see the same sort of fulsome forensic investigation as the Pickton Farm, where dozens of women from Vancouver's Downtown Eastside met their gruesome ends at the hands of a serial killer? Why wasn't the woman who claimed to discover the graves insisting on it?

The facts of the story were not necessary for a spate of church burnings and vandalism — 69 in total — to kick off across the country last summer.

What really happened in Kamloops? Rebel News reporter Drea Humphrey has a brand-new documentary out today at http://www.RebelNewsPlus.com which details her attempts to follow the facts where ever they may lead. It's called Kamloops: The Buried Truth, and Drea joins me today to discuss what she discovered and why she felt compelled to dig deeper.

  • EZRA LEVANT | Should police arrest people for swearing? For being a 'bad person'? The political class gives a unanimous 'yes'

    August 31st, 2022  |  58 mins 34 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump

A lot of terrible things are happening in Canada right now. But when things happen with the government, look for the government to switch the subject, change the channel.

And this is the channel they changed to — this is a video filmed by someone going out on a stunt on his own. I'm not going to just show you the short cell phone video, I'm going to show you a two minute clip from a news station called CHCH.

GUEST: Katie Daviscourt on how Julie Jaman, an 80-year-old woman, was formally banned from a YMCA in Washington for asking a trans woman to leave the female change room. If you agree that the YMCA should reinstate her membership, visit http://www.LetHerSwim.com to sign the petition.

  • DAILY | Ezra's back! Trudeau finally defunds an antisemite; Canadian spy smuggles jihadi into Syria

Topics for today include Prime Minister Trudeau's decision to finally pull funding from the Community Media Advocacy Centre and its senior consultant, Laith Marouf, and a Canadian spy apparently smuggling Britons into Syria to join the Islamic State.

alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump

I saw this tweet a while back. It’s from a construction company called Ellis Don. And it went viral — probably the only time that ever happened to them!

    GUEST: Dr. Leslyn Lewis

We also provide an update on 10-year-old trans model Noella McMaher from Episode No. 4, her budding career as a model and trans activist, and detail some facts about Noella's guardians.

Plus, who the heck is Andrew Tate, and does he deserve to be banned from social media?

alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump

Today we're going to talk to a young, up-and-coming Republican City Council member in New York City.

Although it is America's most important city for a number of reasons, the fact that she's a Republican in a Democrat city is interesting to me, and the fact that she's a conservative escapee from a former Soviet regime — I thought, I like following Inna Vernikov on Twitter, so let's see what she's like.

  • DAVID MENZIES | War On Farmers; Canada Keeps Vaxxing Children

    August 26th, 2022  |  42 mins 32 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump

Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies, and gentlemen — and the rest of you — in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favourite Rebels. I’m your host, David Menzies.

Good grief, not again! The war on farmers continues. This time it is the U.S. government going up against an Amish farmer in Pennsylvania… for reasons that defy logic. Our New York-based reporter Jeremy Loffredo has all the egregious details.

And while other countries have suspended the COVID-19 injection program for youths, not so here in the Great White North. Oh no, Dr. Theresa Tam is all-in when it comes to getting kids jabbed for the coronavirus. So how is it that the COVID-19 science is somehow different in Canada compared to other nations? Tamara Ugolini shall try to make sense of it all.

And letters; we get your letters; we get your letters every minute of every day. And I’ll share some of your letters about a senior citizen who was deprived of life-sustaining medicine by the Canada Border Services Agency and Peel Police on duty at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport. Her crime? Not sharing her personal medical information. And had it not been for the intervention of paramedics, this senior citizen might’ve endured a heart attack thanks to the stress she endured. Bottom line: these goons have proven how yet again Pearson is truly the worst airport in the world…

Those are your Rebels, now let’s round ‘em up…

  • DAVID MENZIES | Jean Charest addresses his fellow Conservatives — will he recover from this self-inflicted wound?

    August 26th, 2022  |  32 mins 37 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump

    GUEST HOST: David Menzies

Jean Charest recently published an open letter in the Toronto Sun newspaper. It was addressed to:

“My fellow members of the Conservative Party of Canada; Please accept this as my final pitch to those of you who have yet to cast a ballot in the leadership race.”

Bottom line: there is one single solitary paragraph in Charest’s open letter that I wholeheartedly agree with:

“Canadians are looking for a leader who is ready to take on the responsibility of prime minister and all the responsibilities and the tough decisions that come with it.”

You are indeed correct, Jean. After seven years of misery under the Trudeau Liberals, Canadians are indeed looking for a brave Prime Minister to make tough decisions in order to repair a broken and divided country.

However that person is not you, Mr. Charest.

GUEST: Gary Duke from Grand Prairie, Alberta, used to be a Scotiabank client… until that bank decided to, well, fire him.
